Tikchik Narrows Lodge is located in the heart of the Wood Tikchik State Park (the largest State Park in the U.S.). This strategic location gives them easy access to a large number of exceptional trout and salmon fisheries. Tikchik Narrows Lodge is completely isolated with terrific local fishing from the lodge without the need to fly out.
Over the past 25 years, Tikchik has developed a fishing program that is diverse and capitalizes on knowledge of where and when to find the best fishing in their region. Tikchik enjoys a variety of water to fish. Both spin and fly anglers will find these waters challenging for advanced anglers yet accommodating for novices.
Tikchik fishes the entire western half of Bristol Bay, which includes the Nushagak River drainage, Wood River Lakes system, Togiak River drainage, Kulukak River, Tikchik Lakes and some Iliamna water. These rivers and streams of Bristol Bay vary in size from large rivers to very tiny streams and everything in between. With the use of lodge float planes and boats the Tikchik field program is extensive and dynamic. As the season and fisheries change, the lodge staff will move boats and set up new camps, positioning themselves to capitalize on the best fishing.
The luxury guest accommodations are in duplex cabins equipped with all of the modern conveniences you would expect at a luxury Alaska lodge. Each large room has a separate entrance, private bathroom, independent heat and hot water and is fully carpeted. Most of the guest rooms have a queen bed and a single bed. There are 3 cabins (6 rooms) that have a queen bed and two single beds. The lodge has a limited number of single occupancy rooms.
Meals at Tikchik reflect the best of Pacific Northwest cuisine with an Alaskan flare. The gourmet dinners feature Alaska king crab, filet mignon, halibut, a selection of Alaskan fresh fish and shellfish, New York steaks and duck. The lodge also serves freshly baked breads, pastries and desserts.
Tikchik Narrows Lodge has partnered with Ravn Air chartering a plane round trip from Anchorage to Dillingham, Alaska. The Ravn Air flight leaves Anchorage every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and arrives into Dillingham at 1:00 p.m. Tikchik Narrows Lodge staff will meet your flight and assist with luggage transfers. Immediately after, you will be transfered by van to Lake Aleknagik (30 minutes) where you will board one of Tikchik's float planes for the 40-minute scenic flight to the lodge. Once you arrive at the lodge, you will be greeted by staff and shown to your cabin. A light buffet will be served in the main lodge. Fishing licenses are available and you will have an opportunity to ask questions about your upcoming fishing week.
