Fishing & Guided Activities

Kodiak Legends Lodge takes the definition of luxury fishing lodges in Alaska to a new level. Complete with welcoming accommodations, scrumptious homemade meals, tons of activities, expert guides, and all the fishing equipment you need, it sets the scene for an incredible experience. All skill levels are welcome, and there are plenty of things to do for the entire family. A trip to Kodiak Legends Lodge is the perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, and quality time with friends and family.

Saltwater Fishing - Directly in front of Kodiak Legends Lodge lies Uyak Bay. Uyak Bay is known for its abundant marine wildlife, including whales, seals, otters, waterfowl, and most importantly, great fishing. Depending upon the time of year, you can catch all five species of salmon, as well as halibut, ling-cod, yelloweye, and many different species of rockfish. It is common to catch more than five different species of game fish in a day. From large halibut to aggressive Coho (silver) Salmon, you will love the saltwater fishing in their home water.

Freshwater Fishing - Few places in the world can match the number of returning fish to the rivers and streams of Kodiak Island. For both spin cast fishing and fly fishing, Kodiak Legends Lodge provides all the gear you will need for a world-class Alaskan fly fishing experience (rods & reels, waders and tackle). Whether you are an avid fisher or just starting out, the guides at Kodiak Legends Lodge can help you make the most out of your Kodiak Island fishing adventure.

Adventure Activities - From pulling up a crab pot chock full of tasty tanner crab to viewing Kodiak’s picturesque scenery from a float plane to kayaking alongside whales, puffins and sea otters to rafting down a scenic river, it is very difficult to get bored here. Their goal at Kodiak Legends Lodge is to provide the most extensive menu of available activities and experiences of any resort in Alaska. They are much more than a fishing lodge.

Lodge & Dining Details

The luxurious lodge rests right on the shoreline of Uyak Bay, a stunningly beautiful, protected body of water surrounded by vibrant, green, velvet hills and mountains capped with snow fields. It’s not uncommon to see whales, bears, and sea otters right from the deck of our fly fishing lodge.

The main lodge has over 5,000 square feet of living space with five suites, a large entertainment room, and the main dining room and kitchen. The main dining room seats 20 people and overlooks the beautiful Uyak Bay. Here you will enjoy gourmet meals prepared by trained chef who creates memorable dishes with imaginative flavors and local ingredients.

In the evenings, gourmet appetizers are served in the recreation room where you can relax by the fireplace, play a game of pool, connect to the wireless internet or sit down and catch up on world events on our television. The sauna on the beach overlooking Uyak Bay also provides a great way for guests to relax and wind down after days filled with adventure in the Alaska wilderness.
