Since Katmai National Park is located within such a remote area of Alaska, all guests visiting Katmai will need to access these areas aboard a float equipped seaplane or aboard their Piper Navajo from Anchorage. Katmai Air service provides all air transportation to each of their lodges, either from their offices in Anchorage or through the office in King Salmon. For those camping at Brooks Camp or just wanting to plan a day excursion from Anchorage, Katmai Air offers air transportation to Brooks from Anchorage or King Salmon on a daily basis throughout the summer season. Flightseeing trips, aircraft charters and fly outs to remote fishing locations can also be arranged.
