Description

Wild River Guide Co. and head guide Mark Rutherford offer unforgettable fly fishing trips on some of Alaska's most remote rivers and waterways. All trips led by Mark.

Fishing Program

For those who haven’t joined Mark on a Alaska fly fishing vacation, you’ll need to know Mark’s 2 specialties:

  1. First is guiding accomplished fly fishermen very remote Alaskan wilderness rivers, seldom, if ever, fished by fishing lodges.
  2. Second is taking beginning fly fishers or families, especially those with youngsters, on truly extraordinary camping — wilderness — fly fishing adventures.

For experts, I offer my service as a specialist in Bristol Bay Alaska’s most challenging rivers. I am an expert at finding large Rainbows & Salmon on the rivers that receive the least fishing traffic in Alaska because they are only accessible to "expeditionary style" fishers.

On family or multi-experience trips we raft through incredibly beautiful Bristol Bay Alaska landscapes and spend lots of time observing and photographing wildlife, landscapes, & wildflowers. We tailor our daily schedule by the various wants / needs of all the participants. Some want more hiking, swimming, berry picking, time to read and relax. Others want 14 hours / day non-stop fishing.

  • Fish Species – Rainbow Trout, 5 Species of Pacific Salmon, Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike
