Thorne Bay, Alaska Sport Fishing Lodge

Video

Description

Tree Tops Lodge is located in Southeast Alaska on Prince of Wales Island in the small cove of Thorne Bay. This area of southeast Alaska is home to one of the largest rain forests of the world, The Tongass Natonal Forest. This area is renowned for its great saltwater fishing around the many Alaska islands and in the deep coastal waterways.

Sightseeing visits to El Capitan Caves or AnAn Creek Bear Observatory are favorites for our guests. Daily wildlife viewing opportunities are fantastic for bears, whales, eagles, deer, seals, sea lions, puffins and doll porpoise.

Fishing Program

Based on weather, seasonal runs and conditions, the guests of Tree Tops Lodge choose the days agenda. You may have the opportunity to fight huge Halibut, Lingcod, Red Snapper and the many species of Salmon in the protected waters of the inside passage or the outer Alaska islands. Fly fishing is also available in our local lakes or streams. The Thorne River is world class Alaska fishing for Steelhead or Trout during the early season.

Tree Tops Lodge uses custom built fishing boats for safety and convenience. These comfortable boats are designed to quickly take you to the best fishing grounds and maximize your Alaska fishing experience. Their new packing facility allows them to clean, vacuum pack, box and freeze your Alaska fish for the trip home.
