Fishing & Experience

Wild River guide company offers float fishing trips across 5,000 square miles of Bristol Bay’s pristine landscape. They fish more rivers, more miles per river and have more experience in Bristol Bay than any other raft based guide service. Their federal and state permits allow them to focus on the region’s finest rivers for your solitude, and unpressured, unhurried fishing experience.

Alaska's Wild River Guides boasts two specialities:

• First is guiding accomplished fly fishermen very remote Alaskan wilderness rivers, seldom, if ever, fished by fishing lodges.

• Second is taking beginning fly fishers or families, especially those with youngsters, on truly extraordinary camping — wilderness — fly fishing adventures.

For experts, Alaska's Wild River Guides is a specialist in Bristol Bay's most challenging rivers. Their guides are experts at finding large Rainbows & Salmon on the rivers that receive the least fishing traffic in Alaska because they are only accessible to "expeditionary style" fishers. On family or multi-experience trips we raft through incredibly beautiful Bristol Bay Alaska landscapes and spend lots of time observing and photographing wildlife, landscapes, & wildflowers. We tailor our daily schedule by the various wants / needs of all the participants. Some want more hiking, swimming, berry picking, time to read and relax. Others want 14 hours / day non-stop fishing.

Group sizes are 1-8 anglers depending upon the time of year and objectives. Custom trips can be organized and are normally organized for more experienced groups to fish places with the highest solitude factors that may be unattainable by the general public. A single fisherman can generally be accommodated.

Lodge Details

The main lodge is a beautiful 7,500 sq. ft. building made of massive scribed logs & river rock overlooking the Naknek River. It is impeccably built, completely modern, warm, quaint and tastefully decorated with interesting art and Alaskan artifacts.

Lodge capacity is 14-16 guests depending upon week in the season: ten guests within 5 main lodge guests rooms and four-six guests in two private cabins. Private groups of up to 18 can be accommodated by prior request.

Amenities include a mud room with lockers and wader dryers, laundry service, a bar and game room, and two separate relaxation/reading areas. There is also a massage therapy room, a cigar gazebo, a workout room and a screened outdoor hot tub.

Food & Beverage

The Crystal Creek Lodge kitchen is adjacent to a dining room that overlooks the Naknek River. The kitchen is open to guests and you are welcome to watch our chefs and kitchen staff, converse with them as they prepare your meals and serve the table. Crystal Creek Lodge provides some of the very best Alaska dining available.

The food philosophy emphasizes fresh, and whenever possible, local, ingredients. They gather the highest quality ingredients available, then prepare and serve delicious meals. The chefs have complete freedom to create and they use whatever inspiration hits them for the day along with the ingredients immediately fresh and available from purveyors and the lodge greenhouse. Foods from the land and of the seas surrounding Alaska are featured whenever possible.
