Fishing Program

The Bristol Bay area in Southwest Alaska offers a wide variety of sport fishing. It's possible to catch up to eight varieties of fish during your stay, and possibly more depending on the time of your visit. Flyfish or use conventional gear to target all 5 species of Pacific Salmon - Kings, Silvers, Sockeyes, Pinks, & Chums - as well as, Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, Arctic Char, & Northern Pike. With the use of their planes, jet boats, & charter boats the variety of waters to fish is a vast as the species available. Fly to small creeks, take the charters out on impressive Lake Iliamna, or cruise up any of the rivers where they have jet boats stashed.

The experienced guide staff at Angry Eagle want you to have a fishing trip of a lifetime; so whether it’s teaching the fundamentals of casting a line or focusing on the finer points of a particular technique, they will customize the experience to suit your wants and needs. Both experienced and novice anglers alike will depart with plenty of fish stories to be told. 

Nestled between Lake Clark National Park and Katmai National Park, Angry Eagle Lodge & Outfitters is ideally situated for exploring the natural beauty of Southwest Alaska if you decide you need a break from catching fish. Enjoy the scenery during a flight over to Brooks Falls for bear viewing, or seeing the majesty of the remote glaciers in the Lake Clark National Park & Reserve.

Accommodations & Dining

Step into a world of rustic charm coupled with modern convenience. Both the Angry Eagle Lodge and Eagle’s Peak Lodge are ideal for unwinding after a long day spent fishing. Relax in style as you enjoy a beer and appetizers while the chef prepares a gourmet meal of king crab, prime rib, or inch-thick pork chops, just to name a few. Plus, with no one around for miles, count on some of the best sleep you’ll ever get.

The Angry Eagle Lodge is constructed of cedar logs and features six private bedrooms—four of which have two queen beds, and the other two rooms each have a queen bed and two full beds. Each bedroom also has a private bathroom and shower. It accommodates groups of 12 to 14 people per week and includes satellite TV and Wi-Fi.

The Eagle's Nest Lodge is the latest addition, featuring four spacious bedrooms that each have two queen beds and a private bathroom and shower. This 6,000-square-foot lodge boasts a picturesque great room that’s situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Iliamna—the ideal spot to enjoy hors ‘dourves and drinks followed by an upscale dinner. Eagle’s Peak Lodge accommodates groups of six to eight people per week and includes satellite TV and Wi-Fi.
